Course Access Issues
If you're having trouble accessing a course, try the following steps:
- Be Sure You're Signed Up and Logged In. Some users get confused because we have two websites: mpseminars.com (which focuses on live, in-person training and physical products) and mpseminarsonline.com (which delivers streaming video training content). You will have a separate user account for each site. If you've been a customer of mpseminars.com or if you're a training alumnus, you'll still need to sign up and subscribe to mpseminarsonline.com. If you're not logged in, the menu item at the top of your screen will say "Log In" instead of "Log Out" and you'll need to visit the login page to enter your username and password.
- Be Sure You Clicked "Take This Course".
- You can view the entire training library with the link "Training Library" at the top of the page.
- When viewing a course and its contents, you must first click "Take This Course".
- After clicking "Take this Course" it will show up in your "Account" page under the section "My Courses"
- You can view the entire training library with the link "Training Library" at the top of the page.
- If These Steps Fail:
There may be a caching problem. You can try a few things:
- Try logging out (using the link in the top right) and then log back in
- If this doesn’t work, try clearing your browser’s cache — if you’re not sure how, here’s an article on it
- You could alternatively try a different browser (i.e. if you’re using Internet Explorer, try Chrome as well)
Course Progress
When you enroll in a course (see steps above), you're able to keep up with your course progress. However, we found that automating this process--though convenient--causes more confusion than allowing users to manually mark lessons complete.
Each video has its own "Mark Complete" button. The button will be grayed out and un-clickable until the video has reached its end:
If you've previously completed the video and don't want to re-watch, but want to mark it complete, you can use the video progress bar as seen above. This bar is visible when hovering over (desktop / laptop) or touching (mobile devices) the video. It can be used to advance the video to its end, allowing you to mark it complete without re-watching.
When the video has reached its end, the "Mark Complete" button turns blue, allowing you to click it to mark the video complete, effectively saving your progress to your account:
Mark Complete Functionality Isn't Working Properly
If the steps above don't work correctly for you, it's most likely an issue with your web browser. We've attempted to catalog which browsers have issues with this functionality, but it seems to vary based on the user's device and browser settings. We typically recommend that you try another browser (i.e. if you're using Internet Explorer, try Chrome or Firefox). You can also try clearing your browser's cache.
